QGEC Taster Event – Research in Energy Fair
This past week, Hooman Gholamzadeh (Post-Doc) and Brock Nowak (PhD student) recently represented the Persaud Corrosion Group at the Research in Energy Fair hosted by the Queen’s Global Energy Conference. The event focused on showcasing research groups at Queen’s University working on sustainable energy solutions, covering areas like nuclear, solar, and carbon capture. Engaging with students from diverse disciplines including engineering, philosophy, and life sciences, Hooman and Brock sparked excitement and interest. This platform not only allowed them to highlight the group’s impactful work but also facilitated connections with the broader undergraduate community at Queen’s. The event emphasized the collaborative nature of sustainable energy research and its potential to inspire the next generation of researchers and professionals in the field.
